Flu information
Staff, students and parents:
The flu is alive and well and is officially hitting Arizona very hard according to the Arizona Department of Health Services.  Here are the best defenses to combat the flu and contain its spread:
*Wash your hands as often as possible, especially during passing period, after lunch, and before and after school.
*Cover your cough.  Sneeze or cough into your elbow, your armpit, or even inside your shirt.  Those germs travel fast and far when you don't cover your cough, and coughing into your hand or helps spread the germs.
*Unlike the common cold, the flu comes on quickly and is usually accompanied by a fever, body aches, and dizziness.
*Stay home if you suspect you have the symptoms of or have been diagnosed with the flu, to prevent the spread to your classmates and teachers.
*It's not too late to get a flu shot.  Check with your healthcare provider, or ask your School Nurse for a referral.
